Married to Virgil since 4.13.91. We have a his/our family and kids and grandkids we are raising. We also have 6 dogs (all rescues); 12 cats (happy to report they are all spay/neutered now) and 2 blue front amazons, 1 cockatoo and 1 cockatiel. I work fulltime as a secretary and financial aid officer for a school that teaches practical nursing (LPN). Hubby is retired and plays Mr. Mom in my absence. There are 3 teens that live with us (Cody is our bio. son - he's 15 going on 30) and Sabrina (our grandaughter) (17 and has a drivers license - look out) and Stephen (14 and claims his greatest strength is beating video video games in about a day). All three kids are active in marching band (Cody plays trumpet; Sabrina plays flute and Stephen plays drums).
We all volunteer at a local entertainment venue in a concession stand that raises funds to help their marching band buy equipment, go on field trips and more.
When I am not at work or visiting my grandmother in a nursing home; I enjoy virtual volunteering for dog rescue, I also foster and hold for transport on occasion, additionally I enjoy decorating cakes for friends and family (no business intentions yet) ; computer gifts and crafts, learning to cook in my dutch oven; camping; walking for health and weight loss; sewing, embroidery; painting clay pots and more. I like to stay busy and sometimes I am even crazy busy but it's all good.
When Virgil and I married I got a ready made family of 3 beautiful daughters Mary, Heather and Audra. Mary has blessed us with 3 grandchildren (Kayla, Drake and Jake) and Kayla has blessed us with 2 great-grandsons Noah and Elijah. Heather has no children but we have 2 granddogs and 2 grandbirds. Last but not least is Audra who blessed us with 8 (Sabrina and Stephen which we are raising; Tiffany, Colton, Mason, Abby; Dominic and Alyssa).
Virgil enjoys camping, hunting, fishing and armchair sports and outside work and walks with me in the evenings.
We live out in a rural area of a small village in Northeast Ohio on 5.85 acres surrounded by plenty of pine trees, and wild animals who are usually welcome to hang out as long as they don't get into devilment. You can say we are living happily ever after!
